Chiou et al. showed that, in murine and human PDAC cell lines, Blimp-1 is induced rapidly after exposure to hypoxia and that, in a mouse model, Blimp-1 is apparently a major driver for metastasis formation [17], which is in line with our previous data showing that Blimp-1 enhances the invasive capacity of tumor cells [18].
