Recently, it has been reported that m6A modification enriched in and enhanced the expression of lipogenic genes in leptin receptor-deficient db/db mice, however, YTHDC2 could attenuate lipid metabolic disorder and hepatic TG accumulation by binding and decreasing the stability of lipogenic gene including sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1c (Srebp-1c), fatty acid synthase (Fasn), stearoyl-CoA desaturase 1 (Scd1) and acetyl-CoA carboxylase 1 (Acc1) 101. Here, SCD is linked to Disorder of lipid metabolism.
