In this study, we developed radioresistant and chemoresistant NPC cell lines to detect the expression of SATB1, MMP-9, Vimentin and E-cadherin; and investigate the effect of SATB1 knockdown by short hairpin RNA (shRNA) on NPC cell proliferation, invasion, chemoradiation resistance; and identify the influence of SATB1 silencing on expression of MMP-9, E-cadherin and Vimentin; and then explore the possible mechanisms of above situations. Here, MMP9 is linked to nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
