To assess the targetability of AML and T-ALL with NKG2D-ligand specific CAR T cells, we sought to evaluate the expression of NKG2D-ligands in primary AML and T-ALL in comparison to AML and T-ALL cell lines, using a conjugated NKG2D-chimeric fusion protein which mimics the ligand recognition of the NKG2D-based CAR. This evidence concerns the gene KLRK1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
