According to our findings, the upregulation of integrin and paxillin, and the downregulation of RhoGDP dissociation inhibitor signaling pathways, in individuals with T2D could be associated with the promotion of biological processes involved in cell activation and migration (e.g., cell movement and morphology and cell-to-cell signaling and interaction) and greater inflammatory responses. This evidence concerns the gene PXN and type 2 diabetes mellitus.
