Among these factors, those independently predicting better PFS in multivariate analysis were the presence of DM (HR = 0.770, p = 0.005), HBV and/or HCV infection (HR = 0.655, p<0.001) and baseline AFP <400 ng/mL (HR = 0.616, p<0.001), while the presence of HTN was insignificantly associated with PFS in multivariate analysis (HR = 0.865, p = 0.093) (Table 5).
