Table 2 shows the correlation between the COL17A1 and clinicopathologic characteristics; the upregulation of COL17A1 was significantly associated with lymph node metastasis (N0 vs. N1-2; p < 0.0001), TNM clinical stage (I or II vs. III or IV; p < 0.0001) pathology differentiation (high or middle vs. low or no; p < 0.01). However, a negative relationship was found between the expression of COL17A1 and the other clinicopathologic factors, such as T classification, distant metastasis, gender, age, vascular invasion, and neural invasion. Here, COL17A1 is linked to metastatic malignant neoplasm in the lymph nodes.
