In the current study, 15 pseudogenes were identified as promising prognostic indicators for breast cancer by univariate Cox regression analysis and classified into tumor-suppressor pseudogenes (NCF1C, HLA-DRB6, HLA-DPB2, HLA-J, HLA-H, HLA-L, RPL13AP20) and oncogene pseudogenes (PGM5P2, HERC2P4, HSP90AB2P, DHX40P1, RRN3P3, RRN3P2, SDHAP1, RPL23AP53) based on their different effects in clinical outcomes using TCGA dataset. This evidence concerns the gene RPL23AP53 and breast carcinoma.
