In order to further clarify the role of AKT‐FOXO3A pathway in miR‐516a‐meidated promotion of the migration and invasion of BC cells, we used AKT activator insulin‐like growth factor‐1 (IGF‐1) to treat T24T anti‐miR‐516a cells, and found that IGF‐1 treatment can significantly reverse the inhibitory effect of miR‐516a on the AKT‐FOXO3A pathway as well as the migration and invasion of BC (Figure 7G‐J). This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and breast cancer.
