On the other hand, increased levels of ADAR1 have been observed in esophageal, lung carcinomas (Qin et al. 2014; Anadón et al. 2016) in lymphoproliferative diseases (Beghini et al. 2000; Jiang et al. 2013; Lazzari et al. 2017) and in hepatocellular carcinoma (Chen et al. 2013), sometimes associated with poor prognosis. This evidence concerns the gene ADAR and hepatocellular carcinoma.
