A significant reduction in the inflammatory marker C-reactive protein (CRP) and in assessment criteria (Disease Activity Score, DAS-28) was also noticed with the use of low-dose zinc in conjunction with antioxidants such as selenium, and vitamins C/A/E (Selenplus, Eurovital®) in women suffering from RA (mild-to-moderate severity) in an Iranian pre-post clinical trial [152]. Here, CRP is linked to rheumatoid arthritis.
