Since angiogenesis is pivotal in GBM progression, anti-angiogenic drugs targeting the VEGF-VEGFR axis were explored in rGBM: (i) monoclonal antibodies, i.e., bevacizumab, or (ii) small molecules inhibiting tyrosine kinase (TKI), i.e., cediranib and sunitinib. This evidence concerns the gene VEGFA and glioblastoma.
