We observed that, in men, a one-unit increase in log CRP was associated with a 71% increase in the odds of having MetS (1.71 (1.19, 2.51)), and men with a one-unit increase in log leptin were 3.34 times more likely to have MetS (3.34 (2.15, 5.42)). The gene discussed is LEP; the disease is metabolic syndrome.
