After five days of exposure, the expression of eight genes was downregulated, including those involved in apoptosis (BIRC3, baculoviral IAP repeat-containing 3; MCL1, MCL1 apoptosis regulator), oxidative stress (NUDT15, nudix hydrolase 15), and immunotoxicity (IL6, interleukin 6; IL1A, interleukin 1 alpha; PTGS2, prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2) (Table 2). The gene discussed is IL1A; the disease is immune system toxicity.
