After treating systemic lupus erythematosus-prone male and female mice, who were F1 hybrid (SWR × NZB), with GnRH antagonist, a decrease in the total levels of immunoglobulin (IgG) and anti-DNA antibodies, a decrease in the severity of clinical manifestations of the disease, and an increase in life expectancy were observed in both sexes. Here, GNRH1 is linked to systemic lupus erythematosus.
