Notch 3 mutations were also described in blastoid and pleomorphic mantle cell lymphomas, an aggressive variant of mantle cell lymphoma [89]; although the study was meant as a genomic analysis and provided a genomic profile without functional hypotheses, the Notch 3 mutation was found in aggressive forms with high levels of Ki-67 protein levels, a protein strictly associated with cell proliferation [89]. The gene discussed is NOTCH3; the disease is mantle cell lymphoma.
