From GVHD tear protein profile, biochemical pathway prospection retrieved the complement and coagulation cascades (Fig. 3), with altered proteins highlighted: increased levels of KNG1 (Kininogen-1), A2M (Alpha-2-macroglobulin), PLG (Plasminogen), CFH (Complement factor H), CFB (Complement factor B), C3 (Complement C3), and C4BPA (C4b-binding protein alpha chain), and decreased level of CLU (Clusterin). Here, A2M is linked to graft versus host disease.
