Considering that high NRF2 expression ER-positive breast tumor was significantly associated with increased tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes, especially anti-cancer immune cells, CD8+ T cell, CD4+ T cell, and DC cells, we speculate that the better survival of high NRF2 expression ER-positive/HER2-negative breast cancer may be at least partly due to the reflection of high infiltration of these immune cells. The gene discussed is CD8A; the disease is breast carcinoma.
