UCA1 and atherosclerosis: Some plasma LncRNA, such as ANRIL, LincRNA-p21, and myocardial infarction-related transcription factor-1, significantly increases in atherosclerosis and may play an important role in the pathogenesis of atherosclerosis.[19–22] Pezawas et al[23] proposed that the expression of LncRNA UCA1 in plasma of patients with acute myocardial infarction decreasing significantly in the early stage, and gradually rising after the third day, so it was regarded as a marker of acute myocardial infarction.
