In contrast with our findings, another study has demonstrated that AML risk increases in patients with rapid or intermediate NAT2 genotypes (Ouerhani et al., 2011), and Gra et al showed that NAT2 genotypes 341T/T, 481C/C, 590G/G are more frequent in children with acute leukemia than in the population control (Gra et al., 2008). The gene discussed is NAT2; the disease is acute leukemia.
