Interestingly, recent studies by another group found that a DOT1L inhibitor or DOT1L knockdown can promote the viral propagation by decreasing the production of type-I interferons (IFNs), including IFNβ, and inhibition of RIG-I-mitochondria-associated viral sensor (RIG-I-MAVS) association upon viral infection (Marcos-Villar et al., 2018, 2019, 2020).
