Previous studies have shown that the abnormal expression of SERPINE2 is involved in the occurrence and development of various cancers: mammary, pancreatic, prostatic, esophagus, gastric, colorectal cancer, etc. Fayard et al. (2009) reported that SERPINE2 can bind to LRP1, stimulate extracellular kinase signal, and regulate the invasion and metastasis of mammary tumor. Here, LRP1 is linked to cancer.
