Previously, we identified an 8-Gene Panel, which consists of PMP22 (peripheral myelin protein 22), GOLM1 (Golgi membrane protein 1), LMTK2 (Lemur tyrosine kinase 2), EZH2 (enhancer of zeste homolog 2), GSTP1 (glutathione S-transferase Pi 1), PCA3 (prostate cancer antigen 3), HPN (hepsin), and FN1 (fibronectin) and found that it was able to distinguish Gleason score >6 and Gleason score ≤6 PCa with good sensitivity and specificity using prostate specimens (Xiao et al., 2016). The gene discussed is PCA3; the disease is posterior cortical atrophy.
