AKT1 and colorectal cancer: Additionally, we performed shRNA-mediated NETO2 knockdown in the colorectal cancer cell line, HCT116, resulting in the differential expression of 17 genes and 2 long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs), as well as deregulation of several cellular pathways, including tumor-associated Wnt, transforming growth factor (TGF)-β, Janus kinase (JAK)-signal transducer and activator of transcription (STAT), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (AKT) pathways.
