Chen et al. (2020d) identified in a patient with COVID-19 the signs of the viral conjunctivitis through slit lamp examination: bilateral moderate conjunctival injection, watery discharge, inferior palpebral conjunctival follicles and tender palpable preauricular lymph nodes. Treatment is the same as common viral conjunctivitis. Ocular findings were found in patients with high levels of leukocytes, neutrophils, procalcitonin, CRP and lactate dehydrogenase suggesting a correlation between ocular involvement and a severe disease form (Wu et al., 2020a). Here, CRP is linked to viral conjunctivitis.
