INS and Alzheimer disease: It is a glucoregulatory hormone that reduces the non‐fasting plasma glucose levels and increases the non‐fasting plasma insulin concentrations (Porter et al., 2010).This is in line with the present results where there was a decrease in body weight (50% reduction; p < .001 and p < .01, respectively) and serum blood glucose (20% reduction; p < .05, p < .05, respectively) in both LIR group and AD + LIR group compared to the control group and AD group.
