When we examined publicly available data (i.e., The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) cohort of 1196 patients with endometrioid adenocarcinoma, 489 cases with high-grade serous ovarian cystadenocarcinoma at the cBioPortal for Cancer Genomics; www.cbioportal.org) we did not find any significant differences in survival between patients with mutations, amplifications, or deep deletions of AKR1C3 and patients with unaltered AKR1C3. This evidence concerns the gene AKR1C3 and endometrioid adenocarcinoma.
