LUZP1 and cancer: Notably, LUZP1 KO reduced ppMLC levels within CRs and led to apical constriction defects in other epithelial cell lines, such as MTD‐1A cells (epithelial cells derived from malignant neoplasms of the mouse mammary gland; Figs 2I and EV2H) and CSG120/7 cells (epithelial cells derived from malignant neoplasms of the mouse submandibular gland; Figs 2J and EV2H), suggesting that LUZP1‐mediated upregulation of ppMLC with CRs is a conserved phenomenon across different epithelial cells.
