This resulted in the relatively mild and minor anti‐cancer effect of UNC5B, which was very different from the pro‐apoptotic effect of caspase‐3 activation by UNC5B structural mutants in the study of Wang et al.38Comparatively, the number and variety of proteins bound to the UNC5B truncates were very limited, among which ribosomal protein was the most proliferation‐related protein, and was proved to promote proliferation and tumour formation in this study. The gene discussed is UNC5B; the disease is neoplasm.
