FOXG1 and Rett syndrome: The nuclear transcription factor FoxG1 has been shown to affect the process of cell proliferation and differentiation (Ariani et al., 2008; Florian et al., 2012), and in the study of Rett syndrome it was found that FoxG1 might indirectly affect oxidative damage to erythrocytes (Ciccoli et al., 2015; Valacchi et al., 2017).
