Some literatures manifested that SIK2 acted as the oncogene and the crucial regulator of glucose metabolism in ovarian cancer cells through PI3K/AKT/HIF-1α pathway, and SIK2 acted as a critical regulator of lipid synthesis and promotes ovarian cancer growth (Chen et al., 2019; Kim et al., 2019; Gao et al., 2020; Zhao et al., 2020a).
