Uveal melanoma is known for having a low immunogenicity and treatment with modern immunotherapy such as anti-CTLA-4 and anti-PD1 checkpoint inhibitors have limited response rates.6,7 In order to evaluate if there is a rationale for developing other strategies of immunotherapies in metastatic uveal melanoma, it is of importance to fully characterize the immune profiles in patients with this disease. Here, CTLA4 is linked to uveal melanoma.
