Furthermore, after ruling out genes located within 1 Mb on each side of previously reported genes or SNPs, we ultimately discover 11 newly novel pleiotropic genes associated with both CAD and CKD (i.e., RHGEF19, RSG1, NDST2, CAMK2G, VCL, LRP10, RBM23, USP10, WNT9B, GOSR2, and RPRML) (Table 1 and Supplementary Figures 9–13).
