Interestingly, Creighton et al reported that E2F2 overexpression could induced p53‐dependent apoptosis in p53 competent ovarian cancer cells, while in ovarian cancer cells with disabled p53 signalling, such as SCOV3, effect of E2F2 overexpression on the apoptosis of these cells remained elusive.30 The gene discussed is TP53; the disease is ovarian carcinoma.
