Inhibition of JNK3 phosphorylation by PBM treatment is powerfully effective in attenuating AMPA receptor endocytosis and reducing multiple neuropathologies associated with Alzheimer’s disease (AD), suggesting that PBM has potential therapeutic value in impeding AD progression, which is likely achieved by regulating JNK3. This evidence concerns the gene MAPK10 and early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
