CD4 and COVID-19: In patients with CD4+ T-cell counts <300 cells/μL, the rate of not progressing to severe COVID-19 at the end of 14 days was 53.8%, whereas in patients with CD4+ T-cell counts ≥300 cells/μL, the rate of not progressing to severe COVID-19 at the end of 14 days was 83.2%, and the statistical difference between these two groups of patients was, again, computed to be significant (Figure 1).
