Similarly, during an analysis of the influence of therapy on HER2-negative breast cancer patients, Gonzalez-Angulo et al. [82] found CTCs only in 9 (28.1%) patients at baseline and in 3 (13.6%) at the end of the 18-week study, whereas Agelaki et al. [83] found a decrease in the percentage of HER2-positive CTCs from 93.45% (total number of patients = 21) to 66.6% after the first cycle. This evidence concerns the gene ERBB2 and breast carcinoma.
