To further determine whether the functional relevance of miR-181a in AML was regulated by Trdmt1 ceRNA activity, we performed a “rescue” assay by co-transfecting psiCHECK2-3′UTR and miR-181a mimic into HL-60 cells following TAT-CT3 treatment, and found that reintroduction of Trdmt1 3′UTR could rescue the miR-181a-mediated blockage on cell differentiation (Figure 4C). This evidence concerns the gene CAGE1 and acute myeloid leukemia.
