Both Hsp70 and Hsp90 are known to interact with Tau and have a role in normal Tau regulation but also in cell stress, protein aggregation and degradation, implying a role for both chaperones in AD (Dickey et al., 2007; Karagöz et al., 2014; Kundel et al., 2018; Ferrari et al., 2020; Weickert et al., 2020). This evidence concerns the gene HSPA4 and Alzheimer disease.
