Indeed, as shown in Figure 5, c-Myc overexpression could restore cell proliferation and reduce autophagy in the G9a-knockdown cells, suggesting that the inhibition of cell proliferation and activation of autophagy mediated by knocking down G9a are due to the role of G9a in regulation of c-Myc expression in glioblastoma cells.
