Li et al. (2015) have highlighted the capability of HOXB7 silencing in suppressing tumorigenicity f in ESCC as well. Our findings further illustrated that HOXB7 knockdown led to suppression of KYSE150 cancer cell growth in vitro and tumor growth in nude mice. We next established a radioresistant cell line (KYSE150R) from the KYSE150 parental cell line by subjecting the cells to a gradient cumulative irradiation dose. Radiotherapy affects cell proliferation, altering the cell cycle distribution and cell apoptosis (Wang et al., 2014). The gene discussed is HOXB7; the disease is cancer.
