Significant predictors for inferior survival included HBsAg positivity (EFS, p = 0.025; OS, p = 0.019), metastatic disease (EFS and OS, p < 0.001), PV involvement (EFS, p = 0.005; OS, p = 0.002), AFP level >10,000 ng/ml (EFS, p = 0.036; OS, p = 0.003), and patients who received biopsy only instead of definitive resection (EFS, p = 0.002; OS, p < 0.001).
