The use of pembrolizumab in combination with platinum-based chemotherapy as first-line treatment of NSCLC patients with non-squamous cell histology (Keynote-189) led to an increase in the median PFS (9.0 vs. 4.9 months, HR = 0.48) and median OS (22.0 vs. 10.7 months, HR = 0.56), and the observed clinical benefit was independent of PD-L1 expression on tumor cells (9). Here, CD274 is linked to non-small cell lung carcinoma.
