To assess differences in the reactivity of T cells and NK cells to galectin-9 produced by AML cells, we co-cultured 24 h 100 nM PMA-pre-treated THP-1 AML cells with 24 h 100 nM PMA-pre-treated Jurkat T cells (co-culture was performed in PMA-free medium) or primary human NK cells in the absence or presence of anti-galectin-9 antibody for 16 h. Here, LGALS9 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
