As recorded in Table 1, individuals with NAFLD had higher BMI, WC, total cholesterol (TC), triglycerides (TG), low- density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), HbA1c, 2-h post-load glucose(2hPG), area under the curve of glucose (AUCGlu), FCP, 2-h post-load C-peptide (2hCP), AUCCP, HOMA-IR, ALT, AST, and SUA/Cr but lower high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C) compared to those without NAFLD(P<0.05). This evidence concerns the gene GPT and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
