ATP5F1A and breast carcinoma: Another analysis of nuclear gene expression in human MDA-MB-435 breast carcinoma cells with and without mtDNA showed that ATP5A1 gene expression was upregulated by more than threefold in ρ0 cells (Delsite et al., 2002), but we were unable to detect changes in the expression of this gene between 4T1 and 4T1ρ0 cells.
