HERC1 and Intellectual disability: In humans, mutations of HERC1 cause a polymorphic syndrome with (Nguyen et al., 2015) or without cerebellar affectation (Ortega-Recalde et al., 2015; Aggarwal et al., 2016; Hashimoto et al., 2016; Utine et al., 2017), yet always apparently associated with intellectual disability (Aggarwal et al., 2016) and in some cases related to the autism spectrum (Hashimoto et al., 2016; Utine et al., 2017).
