IL6 and hepatocellular carcinoma: IL-6 –572G>C polymorphism was not significantly associated with the risk of HCC in dominant (GG vs CC+GC: OR = 1.13, 95% CI = 0.89–1.45, P = .32, I2 = 22%), recessive (GG+GC vs CC: OR = 1.08, 95% CI = 0.94–1.25, P = .27, I2 = 11%), allele (G vs C: OR = 1.08, 95% CI = 0.97–1.21, P = .18, I2 = 37%), and codominant (GG vs CC: OR = 1.01, 95% CI = 0.74–1.37, P = .97, I2 = 0%) models (Fig. 6).
