Previous reports have evidenced that EIF5A knockdown using small hairpin RNA in cervical cancer cells (Mémin et al., 2014), pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma cells (Fujimura et al., 2015), and HeLa cells (Mandal et al., 2016) regulates proteins involved in migration, invasion, proliferation, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, and/or unfolded protein response. This evidence concerns the gene EIF5A and cervical carcinoma.
