NFKB1 and endometriosis: Excessive production of ROS as a result of iron overload as well as pro‐inflammatory cytokines and LPS have been shown to activate the nuclear factor kappa B (NF‐κB) pathway, and NF‐κB further increases transcription of multiple genes encoding pro‐inflammatory cytokines, chemokines, angiogenic, adhesion and growth factors that are known to be involved in development and progression of endometriosis.29
